Steve picks his pork and Toronto’s forked

You’d figure Steve Harper and his Harpies in Ottawa would pay the most attention to a pork barrel rather than the needs of the country.
That’s why Tory Steve stuffed the ridiculous board of the Toronto Port Authority—a notorious Liberal pork barrel with no redeeming value as an entity—with a gaggle of Tory pals. So the Grits are kicked off the tit and the Tories are slurping at the TPA trough.
Meanwhile, Law’n Order Steve has let the various boards and agencies he oversees suffer from his failure to make appointments of judges, arbitrators and the like.
Fearful, perhaps, of being seen to make a pile of patronage appointments, Steve just lets things rot.
Unless it’s something very very Tory-like—something very very full of pork that can’t be allowed to die. Unless it’s the porkers at the Toronto Port Authority.
Wait for the ruling soon to come from the Tassé inquiry into the TPA mess. It will show just how the Liberals abused the people of Toronto who voted them repeatedly into power.
But Steve has no reason to cater to Toronto, so he can TPA Torontonians with impunity. Be certain: Steve will continue to make the city pay.
